SAY HAY, FEVER
Eye Catching Title
Hay fever is the general term for most of the allergic reactions that are centered in the nose and sinus area. It is usually, although not always, caused by substances which are inhaled, such as dust, mold spores, or pollens, even feathers or animal hair. Foods and medicines can also cause a hay fever type of reaction. Hay fever may be either perennial or seasonal. The seasonal variety is the most common and generally causes symptoms only when the particular pollen appears. In the spring, tree pollens are likely to be at fault. In the summer, grasses are the common cause, and in the fall, ragweed and similar plants make many people miserable. Perennial hay fever, or the year-round variety, is due to household dust, pets, molds, and other substances which are always around.
